Welcome to WeekendyApp. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to the WeekendyApp website, app and related services ("Service"). Please read them before creating an account. By accepting these Terms and using the Service, you agree to follow them. Nothing in these Terms removes rights or protections that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
WeekendyApp helps adults discover social plans, activities, friendships and connections. Activities may include outdoor events, shared hobbies, meetups and other social or recreational opportunities.
WeekendyApp is not a platform for hookup advertising, sexual solicitation, escort services or transactional sexual activity. These rules apply to profiles, photographs, messages, advertisements and other content or conduct connected with use of the Service.
We do not guarantee responses, connections, event availability or attendance, or any particular outcome.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use WeekendyApp. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Provide accurate account information and do not misrepresent your identity or age. Keep your account credentials secure and do not allow another person to use your account to evade restrictions.
Eligibility to use WeekendyApp does not override separate legal or venue requirements for particular activities, including age restrictions.
Use WeekendyApp responsibly and comply with applicable law. The following are prohibited:
These restrictions apply regardless of whether content is described as a joke, an advertisement or a private arrangement.
You retain ownership of your content. You grant WeekendyApp a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, reproduce and process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide and moderate the Service, subject to your privacy rights and our Privacy Policy. This licence does not authorise marketing use of your identifiable image.
Only upload content you have the right to use. Obtain any necessary permission from people shown or identified in it, and respect privacy and intellectual property rights.
We work to identify and address harmful content, scammers, impersonators and other violations through moderation efforts and user reports.
Content is not necessarily reviewed before it appears. We cannot guarantee continuous monitoring, immediate detection or that every violation will be identified. There may be a delay between content being posted, detected or reported and action being taken. A delay does not mean prohibited content is permitted or approved.
When we become aware of a possible violation, we will assess it promptly and remove or restrict content found to violate these Terms. Depending on the circumstances, action may include restricting features, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting suspected unlawful activity to appropriate authorities where required or permitted by law.
The urgency, seriousness, available information and any necessary investigation affect how reports are handled. We do not promise a fixed response or removal time.
Report suspected violations to weekendyapp@gmail.com, identifying the relevant account or content and explaining the concern. Do not forward or reproduce suspected child sexual abuse material. For immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services rather than waiting for WeekendyApp.
If you believe an enforcement decision was mistaken, you may ask us to review it through the same email address, explaining your concern and providing relevant information. We will consider the information provided; this does not guarantee reinstatement or a particular response time.
Use caution in online conversations and when meeting people. A profile's presence on WeekendyApp is not an endorsement or a guarantee that the person is genuine, trustworthy or safe.
Do not rely on WeekendyApp as a criminal background-checking service or assume that another user's statements have been verified. Avoid sending money or sharing sensitive personal or financial information with people you meet through the Service.
For in-person meetings, consider meeting publicly, arranging your own transport and telling someone you trust about your plans. You decide whether to communicate with someone or participate in an activity.
WhatsApp and other third-party services operate independently under their own terms and privacy practices. Moving a conversation to those services may disclose your phone number or other information according to their settings and how you use them. Blocking or deleting an account on WeekendyApp cannot recall information already shared or stop contact through an independent service.
WeekendyApp cannot control every user's conduct, including conduct outside the Service. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by another user's independent acts. This does not exclude responsibility that the law requires us to accept or limit your statutory rights.
Review the price and what a purchase includes before paying.
Except where applicable law or the rules of the platform through which you paid require otherwise, payments are non-refundable once you have accessed or used the paid features or service purchased.
Accessing the paid in-app section or viewing paid features counts as interaction with the purchased service, even if you have not contacted another user, clicked a WhatsApp button, received a response or arranged a meeting. Simply visiting a public page or creating an account does not, by itself, mean you have used a paid service.
This policy does not remove mandatory cancellation, refund or other consumer rights. It does not prevent review of duplicate charges, unauthorised payments, billing errors or failure to provide the purchased service.
Where payment was made through an app store or another billing platform, its applicable billing and refund process also applies. For payment concerns relating to WeekendyApp, contact weekendyapp@gmail.com with enough information to identify the purchase. Do not send passwords or complete payment-card details.
Our handling of personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy and is subject to applicable data protection law, including the Kenyan Data Protection Act, 2019.
Personal information, including information such as your phone number and location, is used for the purposes explained in that policy, including facilitating connections through WeekendyApp.
We do not sell your personal data or provide it to others for their own marketing purposes. Use of identifiable photographs or other personal information in WeekendyApp marketing is subject to the separate permission described below.
Although security measures help protect personal information, no system can guarantee absolute security. Your statutory privacy and data protection rights remain unaffected.
WeekendyApp may use demonstration screens or genuinely anonymised app screenshots to promote WeekendyApp on its official website and social-media pages only, provided other people's rights are respected.
Identifiable user photographs, profile extracts or screenshots will be used for this purpose only with the user's separate, express permission. Creating an account or accepting these Terms does not by itself provide that permission. Permission may be given separately in writing; no additional signup step is required.
You may decline or withdraw permission by emailing weekendyapp@gmail.com without losing access to the Service. After withdrawal, we will stop new uses and remove material from placements we control where reasonably practicable, subject to applicable law. We cannot guarantee recall of copies independently shared by others. Private messages, contact details and other identifiable people require their own appropriate permissions.
Removing a name alone does not make a screenshot anonymous; faces, usernames, locations and other identifying details must also be considered.
We may restrict access, remove content, or suspend or terminate an account where reasonably necessary to address a violation, protect users, investigate suspected misuse or comply with law.
Serious or urgent cases may require action without advance notice. Enforcement decisions and payment consequences remain subject to applicable law and the refund protections above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, subject to mandatory rights or protections that apply to you and cannot lawfully be excluded.
We may update these Terms. We will publish the updated version and its effective date on the website and in the app. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or request fresh agreement before changes apply.
An update does not create or expand permission to use your identifiable image for marketing. Any additional marketing permission must be obtained separately.
